And the dream is gone ...

With the arrival of the last competitor, The Charente-Maritime/Bahia Transat 6,50 2009 edition is finished... The dream is gone and the eyes are already turned to September 2011.

Willingness to complete 4 200 miles alone on a 6.50 meters boat, willingness to win in  one boat's category to consider a professional career, desire to live a personal adventure not minding about the sport performance, desire to prove to itself that it can be done... They all lived their dreams. The caipirinha has the unique taste of the fulfillment of a walking dream. And if all have not yet realized the adventure they have just experienced, some begin to think about the next edition... 2011. The qualification phase will restart franticly, search for sponsors will restart harder, life choices will become clearer, whole families will be plunged into the adventure ...

But before leaving, the appointment is given on Saturday the 5th of December to  the Nautic of Paris, with the official award ceremony. And if it will definitively close a life's chapter for some this will be the beginning of a great new adventure for others... Magic Charente-Maritime/Bahia Transat 6.50!
