From the 9th to the 13th of September, welcome to the Race Village!

At the heart of the city of La Rochelle, the "Bassin des Chalutiers" welcomes The Charente-Maritime/Bahia Transat 6.50's village from Wednesday the 9th to Sunday the 13th of September. It will be the heart of the race, the place to come, to meet the skippers, and the journalists, to watch the final preparations and discover fifty booths... Come enjoy the boat christenings, the concerts, the game with lots of prizes to win, the restaurants… It is the place where it will be good to be!

School visits, meetings with sailors, boat baptisms, public concerts, breakfasts with the skippers, game to win boarding to monitor the start, exhibitions, parade of boats, dining area, race and press HQs... The village of The Charente-Maritime/Bahia Transat 6.50 takes place in the Bassin des Chalutiers of La Rochelle and has fifty exhibitors. Animations will be proposed the program knowing that the best of these will be the presence of 84 boats ready to leave for an Atlantic crossing of more than 8,000 km ... Wednesday the 9th of September
- 9h00 / 17h00: Security controls on board of the boats
- 10h00 / 16h00: Sticking of the drawings "Blue Label" in the main sails
- 15h00 / 16h30: Presentation of the skippers to the general public and schools
- 11h00 / 19h00: Opening of the Village

Thursday the 10th of September
- 9h00 / 17h00: Security controls on board of the boats
- 10h00 / 16h00: Sticking of the drawings "Blue Label" in the main sails
- 17h00: Mandatory security, marine research, distress procedures briefing
- 19h00: Sailors presentation evening at the General Council of Charente-Maritime

Friday the 11th of September
- 9h00 / 17h00: Security controls on board of the boats
- 10h00 / 16h00: Sticking of the drawings "Blue Label" in the main sails
- 20h00: Charente-Maritime / Bahia Transat 6.50's Brazilian evening

Saturday the 12th of September
- 10h00 / 16h00: Sticking of the drawings "Blue Label" in the main sails
- 14h00: Presentation of the skippers to the public
- 17h30: Compulsory briefing held in camera about the start of the Race + weather; Location: ECOLE de la mer / Aquarium
- 20h00: Party at the Race Village, public events, concerts, etc...

Sunday the 13th of September
- 8h30: Breakfast offered by the organization to the skippers, families and visitors
- 11h00: Boats leave the harbour
- 14h17: Start off the coast of the Charente-Maritime
